Kate Appleton

Dietitian

Kate is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD), wife and mum to two very active primary school kids. Her passion for health and nutrition comes from her own personal journey of growing up in the world of ballet and dance, then through experiencing the many health challenges that come with pregnancy, post-partum health and having small children to feed!

Kate believes food is as an integral part of maintaining good health and preventing disease and works with her clients to provide the education and tools they need to help make informed food choices. She believes that living a healthy life should not be hard or confusing, and it should not be restrictive or about the next best diet. Kate strives to translate the nutrition science, support and guide you to better health, and show you how to achieve your goals.

Kate’s areas of interest include, but are not limited to: weight management, cardiovascular health, insulin resistance & type 2 diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, FODMAPS, women’s health, fertility nutrition, and general food and nutrition-related queries/advice.

During your initial consultation, Kate will conduct a thorough dietary and lifestyle assessment to assess your individual health and nutritional needs, taking into account any medical conditions and food preferences. Advice and recommendations are provided to assist you in achieving goals, and a tailored eating plan that considers your lifestyle can be included, if desired.

Kate is covered by all major private health funds and rebates are available for clients referred by their GP on Chronic Disease Management (CDM) and Department of Veterans Affairs programs.
